Taysan is a philippine municipality in the province Batangas in Region IV-A CALABARZON which belongs to the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Taysan is seated about 18 km east of province capital Batangas City and about 95 km south-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.
Taysan is a 2nd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Taysan is classified as partly urban. Taysan occupies an area of 93.62 km². By the end of 2007 Taysan was the home of 33,454 residents. Thus by average 357.34 people are living on one km².
Administratively the Municipality of Taysan is subdivided into 20 barangays. 2 compose the center of the city wheras the other 18 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.
