Tagbina

Tagbina is a philippine municipality in the province Surigao Del Sur in Region XIII Caraga which be­longs to the Mindanao group of islands. The municipality Tagbina is seated about 72 km south of province capital City Of Tandag and about 885 km south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Tagbina is a 2nd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Tagbina is classified as partly urban. Tagbina occupies an area of 343.49 km². By the end of 2007 Tagbina was the home of 36,595 residents. Thus by average 106.54 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Tagbina is subdivided into 25 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 24 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Santa Fe, Batunan, Trinidad, Sayon, Manambia, Lago, Santa Cruz, Soriano, Magsaysay, Hinagdanan, Maglatab, Carpenito, Malixi, San Vicente, Ugoban.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Tagbina there are Compostela (Compostela Valley) 86 km south, City Of Bislig 31 km south-south-east, Butuan City (Agusan Del Norte) 89 km north-west, City Of Bayugan (Agusan Del Sur) 62 km north-west, Monkayo (Compostela Valley) 71 km south, Prosperidad (Agusan Del Sur) 33 km west-north-west, Laak (San Vicente) (Compostela Valley) 78 km south-south-west, City Of Tandag 71 km north, Esperanza (Agusan Del Sur) 72 km west as well as 97 km south-south-west of Tagbina the municipality Nabunturan (Compostela Valley).
