Tabogon

Tabogon is a philippine municipality in the province Cebu in Region VII Central Visayas which be­longs to the Visayas group of islands. The municipality Tabogon is seated about 67 km north-north-east of province capital Cebu City and about 522 km south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Tabogon is a 3rd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Tabogon is classified as partly urban. Tabogon occupies an area of 101.35 km². By the end of 2007 Tabogon was the home of 31,942 residents. Thus by average 315.17 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Tabogon is subdivided into 25 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 24 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Alang-alang, Combado, San Vicente, San Isidro, Sambag, Pio, Kal-anan, Loong, Taba-ao, Salag, Tapul, Maslog, Managase, Poblacion, Manlagtang.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Tabogon there are Toledo City 74 km south-west, Cebu City 67 km south-south-west, Mandaue City 68 km south, Lapu-lapu City (Opon) 70 km south, Ormoc City (Leyte) 64 km east, City Of Talisay 79 km south-south-west, Cadiz City (Negros Occidental) 79 km west, Sagay City (Negros Occidental) 66 km west, San Carlos City (Negros Occidental) 96 km west-south-west as well as 92 km east-south-east of Tabogon the municipality City Of Baybay (Leyte).
