Silvino Lobos is a philippine municipality. It is located in the province Northern Samar in Region VIII Eastern Visayas which is a part of the Visayas group of islands. The municipality Silvino Lobos is seated about 25 km east-south-east of province capital Catarman and about 486 km east-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila. The geographic coordinates of Silvino Lobos are 12° 18' 0'' N, 124° 49' 59'' E.

Administratively the Municipality of Silvino Lobos is subdivided into 26 barangays. 3 compose the center of the city wheras the other 23 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.

According to the 2007 census, Silvino Lobos has a population of 13,761 residents and is part of the big group of 1073 cities and municipalities in the Philippines which have more than 10.000 residents but did not reach 50.000 population yet. Based on the number of its inhabitants Silvino Lobos is number 1399 of the most populous cities of the Philippines and at 343 in Visayas group of islands and at 15 of the most populous cities of province Northern Samar. With an area of 224.20 km² Silvino Lobos is one of the cities with a smaller urban area. Based on its area area, it ranks only as the 7th of the smallest cities of the province of Northern Samar.

According to the Philippine income classification for provinces, cities and municipalities Silvino Lobos is a 4th class municipality. The urbanization status of Silvino Lobos is classified as partly urban.
