Silang is a philippine municipality in the province Cavite in Region IV-A CALABARZON which belongs to the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Silang is seated about 23 km south of province capital Imus and about 40 km south of Philippine main capital Manila.
Silang is a 1st class municipality. Regarding urbanization Silang is classified as partly urban. Silang occupies an area of 209.43 km². By the end of 2007 Silang was the home of 199,825 residents. Thus by average 954.14 people are living on one km².
Administratively the Municipality of Silang is subdivided into 64 barangays. 5 compose the center of the city wheras the other 59 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.
