San Manuel

San Manuel is a philippine municipality in the province Isabela in Region II Cagayan Valley which be­longs to the Luzon group of islands. The municipality San Manuel is seated about 55 km west-south-west of province capital Ilagan and about 278 km north-north-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

San Manuel is a 4th class municipality. Regarding urbanization San Manuel is classified as partly urban. San Manuel occupies an area of 112.77 km². By the end of 2007 San Manuel was the home of 28,420 residents. Thus by average 252.02 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of San Manuel is subdivided into 19 barangays. 4 compose the center of the city wheras the other 15 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Agliam, San Francisco, Pisang, Cabaritan, Caraniogan, Santa Cruz, Mararigue, Sandiat East, Villanueva, Sandiat Centro, Malalinta, Nueva Era, Sandiat West, Eden, District 4 (Pob.).

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of San Manuel there are City Of Isabela (City Of Isabela) 33 km east, City Of Cauayan 19 km east-south-east, City Of Santiago 37 km south-south-west, City Of Tabuk (Kalinga) 51 km north-west, Tuguegarao City (Cagayan) 67 km north, Ilagan 54 km east-north-east, Tuao (Cagayan) 82 km north-west, Alicia 26 km south-south-east, San Mateo 15 km south-south-west as well as 35 km south of San Manuel the municipality Echague.
