PiniliPinili is a philippine municipality in the province Ilocos Norte in Region I Ilocos Region which belongs to the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Pinili is seated about 26 km south-south-west of province capital Laoag City and about 378 km north of Philippine main capital Manila. Pinili is a 3rd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Pinili is classified as partly urban. Pinili occupies an area of 89.48 km². By the end of 2007 Pinili was the home of 16,185 residents. Thus by average 180.88 people are living on one km². Administratively the Municipality of Pinili is subdivided into 25 barangays. 2 compose the center of the city wheras the other 23 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Puzol, Gulpeng, Bungro, Apatut-Lubong, Bulbulala, Buanga, Liliputen, Cabaroan, Salanap, Lumbaan-Bicbica, Upon, Pugaoan, Puritac, Dalayap, Aglipay. Among the bigger cities and municipalities in the neighborhood of Pinili there are City Of Vigan (Ilocos Sur) 44 km south-south-west, Laoag City 26 km north-north-east, City Of Batac 11 km north-north-east, Bangued (Abra) 40 km south-south-east, City Of Candon (Ilocos Sur) 84 km south, Tuao (Cagayan) 100 km east-south-east, Dingras 25 km north-east, Cabugao (Ilocos Sur) 18 km south-south-west, Narvacan (Ilocos Sur) 59 km south as well as 27 km north of Pinili the municipality San Nicolas. |
