Palongpong is a barangay of the philippine component city City Of Batac in the province Ilocos Norte in Ilocos Region which is part of the Luzon group of islands.

Palongpong is one of the barangays which are in the outlying area of Component City City Of Batac.

The component city City Of Batac with a population of about 50,675 and its 43 barangays belong to the partly urban areas in the Philippines. While some of the barangays developed modern urban structures, some others, especially those which are seated in the outlying areas, remained rural. By the end of 2007 Palongpong had 1,557 residents.
