Narvacan Barangays

Narvacan is a philippine municipality. It is located in the province Ilocos Sur in Region I Ilocos Region which is a part of the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Narvacan is seated about 20 km south-south-east of province capital City Of Vigan and about 320 km north of Philippine main capital Manila. The geographic coordinates of Narvacan are 17° 25' 0'' N, 120° 28' 59'' E.

Administratively the Municipality of Narvacan is subdivided into 34 barangays. 2 compose the center of the city wheras the other 32 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.

According to the 2007 census, Narvacan has a population of 41,578 residents and is part of the big group of 1073 cities and municipalities in the Philippines which have more than 10.000 residents but did not reach 50.000 population yet. Based on the number of its inhabitants Narvacan is number 570 of the most populous cities of the Philippines and at 307 in Luzon group of islands and at 3 of the most populous cities of province Ilocos Sur. With an area of 122.21 km² Narvacan is one of the cities with a smaller urban area. Based on its area area, it ranks only as the 6th of the smallest cities of the province of Ilocos Sur.

According to the Philippine income classification for provinces, cities and municipalities Narvacan is a 2nd class municipality. The urbanization status of Narvacan is classified as partly urban.
