Manay is a philippine municipality in the province Davao Oriental in Region XI Davao Region which be­longs to the Mindanao group of islands. The municipality Manay is seated about 46 km north-east of province capital City Of Mati and about 1,019 km south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Manay is a 2nd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Manay is classified as partly urban. Manay occupies an area of 418.36 km². By the end of 2007 Manay was the home of 38,067 residents. Thus by average 90.99 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Manay is subdivided into 17 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 16 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Mabini, Capasnan, Manreza, Concepcion, Lambog, San Fermin, Guza, Rizal, Cayawan, Zaragosa, Del Pilar, San Isidro, New Taokanga, Old Macopa, Holy Cross.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Manay there are Maco (Compostela Valley) 78 km west-north-west, Monkayo (Compostela Valley) 86 km north-west, City Of Mati 46 km south-west, City Of Panabo (Davao Del Norte) 95 km west, City Of Tagum (Davao Del Norte) 84 km west-north-west, Island Garden City Of Samal (Davao Del Norte) 90 km west, Carmen (Davao Del Norte) 93 km west, Compostela (Compostela Valley) 72 km north-west, Pantukan (Compostela Valley) 65 km west as well as 76 km north-west of Manay the municipality Nabunturan (Compostela Valley).
