Malita

Malita is a philippine municipality in the province Davao Del Sur in Region XI Davao Region which be­longs to the Mindanao group of islands. The municipality Malita is seated about 50 km south-south-east of province capital City Of Digos and about 1,042 km south-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Malita is a 1st class municipality. Regarding urbanization Malita is classified as partly urban. Malita occupies an area of 883.37 km². By the end of 2007 Malita was the home of 106,135 residents. Thus by average 120.15 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Malita is subdivided into 30 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 29 are in the outlying areas.
