Mabitac

Mabitac is a philippine municipality in the province Laguna in Region IV-A CALABARZON which be­longs to the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Mabitac is seated about 16 km north-west of province capital Santa Cruz and about 47 km east-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Mabitac is a 5th class municipality. Regarding urbanization Mabitac is classified as partly urban. Mabitac occupies an area of 80.76 km². By the end of 2007 Mabitac was the home of 17,608 residents. Thus by average 218.03 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Mabitac is subdivided into 15 barangays. 7 compose the center of the city wheras the other 8 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Maligaya (Pob.), Bayanihan (Pob.), Amuyong, Masikap (Pob.), Numero, Libis ng Nayon (Pob.), San Miguel, Sinagtala (Pob.), Pag-Asa (Pob.), Lucong, San Antonio, Lambac (Pob.), Nanguma, Matalatala, Paagahan.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Mabitac there are Quezon City (Second District) 45 km west-north-west, Caloocan City (Third District) 53 km west-north-west, Taguig City (Fourth District) 37 km west-north-west, City Of Manila (First District) 46 km west-north-west, City Of Antipolo (Rizal) 31 km west-north-west, City Of Pasig (Second District) 39 km west-north-west, City Of Makati (Fourth District) 43 km west-north-west, City Of Parañaque (Fourth District) 45 km west, City Of Dasmariñas (Cavite) 50 km west-south-west as well as 56 km west-north-west of Mabitac the municipality City Of Valenzuela (Third District).
