Lubang is a philippine municipality in the province Occidental Mindoro in Region IV-B MIMAROPA which belongs to the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Lubang is seated about 87 km north-west of province capital Mamburao and about 126 km south-west of Philippine main capital Manila.
Lubang is a 4th class municipality. Regarding urbanization Lubang is classified as partly urban. Lubang occupies an area of 113.10 km². By the end of 2007 Lubang was the home of 28,267 residents. Thus by average 249.93 people are living on one km².
Administratively the Municipality of Lubang is subdivided into 16 barangays. 8 compose the center of the city wheras the other 8 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.
