Lambunao Barangays

Lambunao is a philippine municipality. It is located in the province Iloilo in Region VI Western Visayas which is a part of the Visayas group of islands. The municipality Lambunao is seated about 41 km north of province capital Iloilo City and about 424 km south-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila. The geographic coordinates of Lambunao are 11° 3' 17'' N, 122° 28' 33'' E.

Administratively the Municipality of Lambunao is subdivided into 73 barangays. 2 compose the center of the city wheras the other 71 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.

According to the 2007 census, Lambunao has a population of 63,300 residents and belongs to the 294 emerging cities and municiplities in the Philippines which have more than 50,000 inhabitants but did not reach 100,000 yet. Based on the number of its inhabitants Lambunao is number 302 of the most populous cities of the Philippines and at 58 in Visayas group of islands and at 5 of the most populous cities of province Iloilo. With an area of 407.09 km² Lambunao is one of the principal cities in terms of area in region Western Visayas. Based on its urban area, it is 9th biggest city of the region and is number 1 of the biggest cities of the province of .

According to the Philippine income classification for provinces, cities and municipalities Lambunao is a 1st class municipality. The urbanization status of Lambunao is classified as partly urban.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Lambunao there are Roxas City (Capiz) 65 km north-north-east, Cadiz City (Negros Occidental) 90 km east, Bacolod City (Negros Occidental) 66 km south-east, Bago City (Negros Occidental) 69 km south-east, Iloilo City 41 km south, Silay City (Negros Occidental) 60 km east-south-east, City Of Passi 18 km east-north-east, Oton 40 km south, Hinigaran (Negros Occidental) 96 km south-south-east as well as 64 km east-south-east of Lambunao the municipality City Of Talisay (Negros Occidental).
