Lala is a philippine municipality in the province Lanao Del Norte in Region X Northern Mindanao which belongs to the Mindanao group of islands. The municipality Lala is seated about 10 km south-south-west of province capital Tubod and about 795 km south-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.
Lala is a 1st class municipality. Regarding urbanization Lala is classified as partly urban. Lala occupies an area of 140.25 km². By the end of 2007 Lala was the home of 58,395 residents. Thus by average 416.36 people are living on one km².
Administratively the Municipality of Lala is subdivided into 27 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 26 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Andil, Santa Cruz Upper, Camalan, Matampay Bucana, Santa Cruz Lower, Pendolonan, Matampay Ilaya, San Manuel, Tuna-an, San Isidro Upper, Darumawang Bucana, El Salvador, Pacita, San Isidro Lower, Gumagamot.
