La Trinidad Barangays

La Trinidad is a philippine municipality. It is located in the province Benguet in Region Cordillera Administrative Region which is a part of the Luzon group of islands. The municipality La Trinidad is seated about 215 km north-west of Philippine main capital Manila. The geographic coordinates of La Trinidad are 16° 28' 38'' N, 120° 35' 7'' E.

Administratively the Municipality of La Trinidad is subdivided into 16 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 15 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.

La Trinidad is the province capital of province Benguet. According to the 2007 census, La Trinidad has a population of 97,810 residents and belongs to the 294 emerging cities and municiplities in the Philippines which have more than 50,000 inhabitants but did not reach 100,000 yet. Based on the number of its inhabitants La Trinidad is number 154 of the most populous cities of the Philippines and at 100 in Luzon group of islands and at 2 of the most populous cities of province Benguet. With an area of 70.04 km² La Trinidad occupies a relatively small urban area. Accordingly, there is a high population density. In La Trinidad, by average, 1,396.49 people live in one square kilometer. With this value, La Trinidad is only number 78 in Luzon and is nationally ranked 93rd of the most densely populated cities in the Philippines.

According to the Philippine income classification for provinces, cities and municipalities La Trinidad is a 1st class municipality. The urbanization status of La Trinidad is classified as partly urban.
