La Paz is a philippine municipality in the province Agusan Del Sur in Region XIII Caraga which belongs to the Mindanao group of islands. The municipality La Paz is seated about 36 km south-south-west of province capital Prosperidad and about 876 km south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.
La Paz is a 1st class municipality. Regarding urbanization La Paz is classified as partly urban. La Paz occupies an area of 1,481.12 km². By the end of 2007 La Paz was the home of 25,214 residents. Thus by average 17.02 people are living on one km².
