Ibajay is a philippine municipality in the province Aklan in Region VI Western Visayas which belongs to the Visayas group of islands. The municipality Ibajay is seated about 25 km west-north-west of province capital Kalibo and about 333 km south-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.
Ibajay is a 3rd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Ibajay is classified as partly urban. Ibajay occupies an area of 158.90 km². By the end of 2007 Ibajay was the home of 42,742 residents. Thus by average 268.99 people are living on one km².
Administratively the Municipality of Ibajay is subdivided into 35 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 34 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Malindog, Rivera, Cabugao, Yawan, Buenavista, Mina-a, Mabusao, Tul-ang, Aparicio, Monlaque, Antipolo, Unat, Naligusan, Capilijan, Bagacay.
