Cordoba is a philippine municipality. It is located in the province Cebu in Region VII Central Visayas which is a part of the Visayas group of islands. The municipality Cordoba is seated about 0 km north of province capital Cebu City and about 564 km south-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila. The geographic coordinates of Cordoba are 10° 21' 33'' N, 123° 51' 48'' E.

Administratively the Municipality of Cordoba is subdivided into 13 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 12 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.

According to the 2007 census, Cordoba has a population of 45,066 residents and is part of the big group of 1073 cities and municipalities in the Philippines which have more than 10.000 residents but did not reach 50.000 population yet. Based on the number of its inhabitants Cordoba is number 508 of the most populous cities of the Philippines and at 101 in Visayas group of islands and at 23 of the most populous cities of province Cebu. With an area of 17.15 km² Cordoba occupies a relatively small urban area. Accordingly, there is a high population density. In Cordoba, by average, 2,627.76 people live in one square kilometer. With this value, Cordoba is only number 7 in Visayas and is nationally ranked 53rd of the most densely populated cities in the Philippines.
