Bugasong

Bugasong is a philippine municipality in the province Antique in Region VI Western Visayas which be­longs to the Visayas group of islands. The municipality Bugasong is seated about 793 km south of province capital Marcos and about 410 km south-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Bugasong is a 3rd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Bugasong is classified as partly urban. Bugasong occupies an area of 203.71 km². By the end of 2007 Bugasong was the home of 30,394 residents. Thus by average 149.20 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Bugasong is subdivided into 27 barangays. 3 compose the center of the city wheras the other 24 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Anilawan, Maray, Yapu, Tica, Arangote, Sabang West, Tono-an, Talisay, Tagudtud South, Sabang East, Jinalinan, Lacayon, Tagudtud North, Guija, Igsoro.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Bugasong there are Roxas City (Capiz) 95 km north-east, Kalibo (Aklan) 79 km north-north-east, City Of Passi (Iloilo) 63 km east, Iloilo City (Iloilo) 66 km south-east, Oton (Iloilo) 59 km south-east, Pototan (Iloilo) 62 km east, Lambunao (Iloilo) 44 km east, Dumangas (Iloilo) 75 km east-south-east, Miagao (Iloilo) 48 km south-south-east as well as 100 km east of Bugasong the municipality Enrique B. Magalona (Saravia) (Negros Occidental).
