Boston

Boston is a philippine municipality in the province Davao Oriental in Region XI Davao Region which be­longs to the Mindanao group of islands. The municipality Boston is seated about 103 km north of province capital City Of Mati and about 950 km south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Boston is a 3rd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Boston is classified as partly urban. Boston occupies an area of 357.03 km². By the end of 2007 Boston was the home of 11,176 residents. Thus by average 31.30 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Boston is subdivided into 8 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 7 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Cawayanan, Simulao, Caatihan, Carmen, Cabasagan, Sibajay, San Jose, Poblacion.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Boston there are Monkayo (Compostela Valley) 35 km west, City Of Bislig (Surigao Del Sur) 38 km north, City Of Tagum (Davao Del Norte) 77 km south-west, Prosperidad (Agusan Del Sur) 95 km north-west, Santo Tomas (Davao Del Norte) 94 km west-south-west, City Of Panabo (Davao Del Norte) 97 km south-west, Laak (San Vicente) (Compostela Valley) 60 km west, Nabunturan (Compostela Valley) 53 km west-south-west, Maco (Compostela Valley) 79 km south-west as well as 92 km south-south-west of Boston the municipality Pantukan (Compostela Valley).
