Bien Unido

Bien Unido is a philippine municipality in the province Bohol in Region VII Central Visayas which be­longs to the Visayas group of islands. The municipality Bien Unido is seated about 79 km north-east of province capital Tagbilaran City and about 617 km south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Bien Unido is a 4th class municipality. Regarding urbanization Bien Unido is classified as partly urban. Bien Unido occupies an area of 27.39 km². By the end of 2007 Bien Unido was the home of 23,412 residents. Thus by average 854.76 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Bien Unido is subdivided into 15 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 14 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Bilangbilangan Diot, Liberty, Tuboran, Puerto San Pedro, Sagasa, Nueva Estrella, Maomawan, Hingotanan West, Hingotanan East, Malingin, Pinamgo, Bilangbilangan Dako, Nueva Esperanza, Mandawa, Poblacion (Bien Unido).

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Bien Unido there are Toledo City (Cebu) 85 km west-north-west, Lapu-lapu City (Opon) (Cebu) 51 km west-north-west, Mandaue City (Cebu) 54 km west-north-west, Ormoc City (Leyte) 100 km north-north-east, Cebu City (Cebu) 62 km west-north-west, City Of Talisay (Cebu) 62 km west-north-west, City Of Baybay (Leyte) 78 km north-east, City Of Carcar (Cebu) 82 km west, City Of Naga (Cebu) 69 km west as well as 59 km north-west of Bien Unido the municipality Danao City (Cebu).
