Basud Barangays

Basud is a philippine municipality. It is located in the province Camarines Norte in Region V Bicol Region which is a part of the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Basud is seated about 6 km south-south-east of province capital Daet and about 219 km east-south-east of Philippine main capital Manila. The geographic coordinates of Basud are 14° 3' 57'' N, 122° 57' 50'' E.

Administratively the Municipality of Basud is subdivided into 29 barangays. 2 compose the center of the city wheras the other 27 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality.

According to the 2007 census, Basud has a population of 36,763 residents and is part of the big group of 1073 cities and municipalities in the Philippines which have more than 10.000 residents but did not reach 50.000 population yet. Based on the number of its inhabitants Basud is number 656 of the most populous cities of the Philippines and at 344 in Luzon group of islands and at 8 of the most populous cities of province Camarines Norte. With an area of 260.28 km² Basud is one of the cities with a smaller urban area. Based on its area area, it ranks only as the 3rd of the smallest cities of the province of Camarines Norte.

According to the Philippine income classification for provinces, cities and municipalities Basud is a 3rd class municipality. The urbanization status of Basud is classified as partly urban.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Basud there are Libmanan (Camarines Sur) 42 km south-south-east, Daet 5 km north-west, Iriga City (Camarines Sur) 87 km south-east, Labo 32 km west-north-west, Lopez (Quezon) 78 km west-south-west, Naga City (Camarines Sur) 57 km south-east, Pili (Camarines Sur) 64 km south-east, Buhi (Camarines Sur) 92 km south-east, Calabanga (Camarines Sur) 48 km south-east as well as 74 km west of Basud the municipality Calauag (Quezon).
