Angeles City is a philippine highly urbanized city. It is located in the province Pampanga in Region III Central Luzon which is a part of the Luzon group of islands. The highly urbanized city Angeles City is seated about 19 km north-west of province capital City Of San Fernando and about 78 km north-west of Philippine main capital Manila. The geographic coordinates of Angeles City are 15° 9' 0'' N, 120° 34' 59'' E.

Administratively the Highly Urbanized City of Angeles City is subdivided into 33 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 32 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Highly Urbanized City.

According to the 2007 census, has a population of 314,493 citizens and belongs to the 44 cities of the Philippines with more than 250.000 residents. Based on the number of its inhabitants Angeles City is number 27 of the most populous cities of the Philippines and at position 19 in Luzon group of islands. With an area of 60.27 km² Angeles City occupies a relatively small urban area. Accordingly, there is a high population density. Thus, Angeles City ranks nationwide only as the 28th populated cities in the Philippines and even within the Luzon group of islands, it is only number 26 in terms of population density.
