Allen is a philippine municipality in the province Northern Samar in Region VIII Eastern Visayas which be­longs to the Visayas group of islands. The municipality Allen is seated about 40 km west-north-west of province capital Catarman and about 424 km south-east of Philippine main capital Manila.

Allen is a 5th class municipality. Regarding urbanization Allen is classified as partly urban. Allen occupies an area of 47.60 km². By the end of 2007 Allen was the home of 22,334 residents. Thus by average 469.20 people are living on one km².

Administratively the Municipality of Allen is subdivided into 20 barangays. 4 compose the center of the city wheras the other 16 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Alejandro Village (Santiago), Santa Rita, Victoria, Tasvilla, Imelda, Guin-arawayan, Frederic, Bonifacio, Calarayan, Lo-oc, Londres, Sabang Zone I (Pob.), Kinabranan Zone I (Pob.), Kinaguitman, Lagundi.

Among the bigger cities and muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the neigh­bor­hood of Allen there are Calbayog City (Samar (Western Samar)) 59 km south-east, Bulan (Sorsogon) 48 km west-north-west, City Of Sorsogon (Sorsogon) 64 km north-west, Daraga (Locsin) (Albay) 94 km north-west, City Of Masbate (Masbate) 81 km west, Legazpi City (Albay) 92 km north-west, Pilar (Sorsogon) 81 km north-west, Camalig (Albay) 98 km north-west, Cawayan (Masbate) 84 km south-west as well as 96 km west of Allen the municipality Aroroy (Masbate).
